Due West – Mallie Fleming Brock, 90, a resident of The Maples in Honea Path, formerly of Due West, died on Sunday September 30, 2012 at the Rainey Upstate Hospice. She was the widow of Carlton Brock.

Ware Shoals – Joann Rochester Chapman, 84, of 11200 Indian Mound Road, wife of Franklin M. Chapman died September 29, 2012 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood. She was twice married, first to the late James B. Sizemore.

Honea Path – Albert “Ab” Edward Gilstrap, 89, of 107 Arkansas Street, widower of Julia “Judy” Crocker Gilstrap, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. He was twice married first to the late Paralee “Pat” Bell Gilstrap.

Honea Path – Jerry Eugene Sumeral, 65, of 104 Heyward Ave, died Wednesday September 26, 2012 at AnMed Health Center.

Ware Shoals – Bennie Edward Timmerman, 86, of 45 Honea Path St., died Sunday September 23, 2012 at his home.

Belton – Alice Clamp Ashley, 56, wife of Roger Dale Ashley, of 1692 Highway 252, died Friday at Rainey Hospice House.

Ware Shoals, SC - Bessie Evelyn Higgins, 90 of 12 Higgins  Drive died Thursday, September 20, 2012  She was born in Greenwood County, a daughter of the late Ernest M. and Annie Reeves Higgins.  She was a railroad retiree, having spent many years at CSX.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Honea Path – Jeffrey Joseph Glancy, 67, husband of Shirley Knight Glancy, of Princeton, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

Honea Path – Katherine Evelyn Stallcup, 84, passed away on September 19, 2012 at NHC of Anderson.
