Ware Shoals – Nelson Curtis Collins, 64, husband of Barbara Anne O’Dell Collins, of 10822 Indian Mound Rd, died Tuesday March 26, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County GA, he was a son of the late J.C. Collins and Nell Hubbard Collins Adams. He was a member of Mt Gallagher Baptist Church and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the NRA.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: two stepsons, Barry Leon Davis of TX and Brian Scott Davis and wife Sherri of FL, a daughter, Michelle C. Anderson and husband Frank of Waterloo, three brothers, Michael Collins and wife Norma of GA, Ricky Collins and wife Janet of GA, and Johnny Collins, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop and Rev. Chris Hudson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 P.M.
The family is at the home and will receive friends 7-9 P.M. Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt Gallagher Baptist Church, 11828 Indian Mound Rd, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
