Honea Path – Kenneth Alton Calvert, 53, of 505 Chiquola Ave., died Friday November 2, 2012. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Alton and Nancy Howington Calvert. He is survived by a brother, Tommy Gordon Calvert of Honea Path.

Hodges- Broadus “Peanut” Davis, 79, widower of Betty Ruth Gambrell Davis, of 4624 Moorefield St, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Magnolia Manor in Greenwood.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Walter L. and Sallie Blackwell Davis. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Orr-Lyons Mill in Anderson.

Surviving are a son, Keith Davis and wife Jo of Anderson, a daughter, Donna Garner and husband Dale of Anderson, a sister, Betty Jo Smith and husband Stanley of Hodges, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.Graveside services will be held Friday, November 2, 2012, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson at 10AM with Rev. Andy Lee officiating.

Ware Shoals- Estelle Kay McMahan, 90, beloved wife of Clarence H. “Mac” McMahan for seventy years, of 20 West Main St, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Honea Path – Carnese Hale, 83, husband of Alison J. Hale of 200 W. Greer St., died Friday, October 19, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Honea Path – Mrs. Lorene Anderson Webb Son, 74, of 102 McKay Road, wife of Alfred L. Son, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at AnMed Health Center in Anderson.

Honea Path – Benjamin Burt Holder, 63, widow of Deborah Louise Rutlin Holder, of 108 Georgia St., died Saturday, October 13,2012.

Born in Clinton, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Margaret Rawls Holder. He was retired from Daniel Construction Company.

Surviving are a son, Benjamin Cain Holder of Honea Path, a brother, George Sullivan Holder of Laurens, and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel.
