Marvin Vaughn

Honea Path – Marvin Thomas Vaughn, 80, widower of Ethel Elizabeth Gambrell Vaughn, of 673 Hwy 178 North, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Belton.

 

 

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Pinkney and Cleo Hinton Vaughn. He was a member of Donalds Church of God. He retired from Riegel Textile Corporation and had worked part-time for Abbeville County.

Surviving are: two daughters, Eleanor Knox and husband Steve of Belton, and Tammie Reames and husband Britt of Saluda, one brother, Ervin Vaughn and wife Diane of Honea Path, two sisters, Racheal Brock of Anderson and Elizabeth Young of Honea Path, four grandchildren, Michael Knox and wife Kristy of Ladson, Tommy Knox and wife Michelle of Iva, Cody and Rylee Reames of Saluda, and a special great-niece, Jessica Vaughn of Honea Path.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three brothers, James, Horace and John Henry Vaughn, and a sister, Mamie Page.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Donalds Church of God with Rev. James Lollis and Rev. Truman Madden officiating. Burial wiil follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home of his daughter, 625 Mayfield School Rd, Belton, and will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
