Rudy Medlin

Anderson – Homer Rudolph “Rudy” Medlin, 75, of 204 Collingwood Dr., died Friday, March 22, 2013 at AnMed Health Center.

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Homer Ray and Mary Elizabeth Pitts Medlin. He was a member of Anderson Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a veteran of the S.C. Army National Guard, and was a retired truck driver and an avid gardener.

Surviving are: three sons, Phillip Medlin of Hartwell, GA, Greg Medlin of the home, and Russell Medlin and wife Melissa of Greenville, a daughter, Jill Fleeman and husband Adam of Anderson, and four grandchildren, Valerie Ann and Joel Medlin and Emily and Sara Fleeman. He was predeceased by a brother, Billy Ray Medlin.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, March 25, 2013 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel in Ware Shoals with Don Foulkes and Dana Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10-12 Noon Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Parker-White-Pruitt Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
