Honea Path – Mr. Merritt W. “Buzz” Perkins, 84, of 310 Samuel Road, widower of Beverly Elmore Reed Perkins died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.

Honea Path – Mrs. Hazel Elizabeth “Libbo” Kerr Smith, 81, of 10 Lee Street, widow of Claude A. “Cotton” Smith, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.

Honea Path – Louie Paul Hart, 91, of 203 Poplar St., went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House of Anderson. He was married to his late wife, Clara Vaughn Hart for 62 years.

Donalds – Brenda Joyce Cowart Hinton, 55, wife of Joey Hinton, of 299 Williamson Hill Rd, died Friday, February 15, 2013 in Anderson.

Born in Anderson County she was a daughter of Edna Haynes Cowart and the late Grady Cowart. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of Ware Shoals and her mother of the home are: a son, Grady Allan Crawford of Anderson, two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Cowart and wife Vickie of Ware Shoals and Larry Joe Cowart of N.C., three sisters, Frankie Johnson and husband JJ of Honea Path, Linda Cothran and husband Faron of Ware Shoals, and Sara Lynch and husband Cecil of Donalds, and a grandson, Mason Alawishus Crawford of Belton. She was predeceased by two sisters, Susan C. Rice and Sandra C. Craine.

Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Phillips officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 2-3 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Honea Path – Orris Edmond Howell, 78, husband of Jean Waldrep Howell, of 101 Frances St., died Saturday, February 02, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
