Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late George P. and Ollie McNeely Owens. She was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church. She was retired from Camak Elementary School.

Surviving are her husband of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Don “Patsy” Jackson of Ware Shoals and Mrs. Billy “Martha” Anderson of Westminister, two sisters, Mrs. Henry “Lolila” O’Dell and Mrs. James “Lula” Manley both of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren , Patrick (Shannon) Jackson, Brooks (Pamela) Jackson, Neely (Ryan) Abernathy, Billy (Tina) Anderson and Lee (Travis) Perkins and six great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Joseph F. “Bud” Owens and a sister, Mrs. Robert “Kathryn” Jennings.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
