Born in Belton, he was the son of the late Marcus Eugene and Verena Kelly Hart. He was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church. He was retired from Riegel Textiles of Ware Shoals and Bi-Lo of Honea Path. He was a member and Past Master of Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M.; Hejaz Shriners; The Scottish Rite,Valley of Greenville, and the Order of the Eastern Star and the Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are: one daughter, Shelby Hart Lollis, of the home: one son, William Ray Hart and wife Donna of Ten Mile, TN; four brothers: James R. Hart; Millard Hart; WC Hart and wife Earlie, and Franklin D. Hart and wife Ruth all of Anderson, two sisters: Ethel Mae McCoy and Sara Pearson and husband Leon; one brother-in-law: W. Randolph Pearson, all of Honea Path, two sister-in-laws: Lucille V Mattison and Hassie Mae K. Vaughn of Belton; also, his special and loving caregiver, Sandra Burton.

Six grandchildren: Pam Lollis of Honea Path, Teresa L. Martin and husband Terry of Donalds, Kim L. Blevins and husband RC of Myrtle Beach, Jonathan Hart and wife Heather, Jeremy Hart, and Megan Hart all of Knoxville, TN; one step-grandson, Paul Smith and wife Esther of Daleville, AL.

Nine Great-Grandchildren: Brandon Lollis of Charleston, Joshua Martin of Donalds, Berrke M. Horne and husband Jamie of Honea Path, Justin Lollis of Donalds, Brady Dobson of Honea Path, Brittany Blevins of Myrtle Beach, Jayda Martin of Donalds, Cambria Settlemeyer Hart of TN, and Caiden Hart of Knoxville, TN. Two step-great-grandchildren Kyrstin and Kennedy Smith of Daleville, AL.

Four Great-Great-Grandchildren: Haley and Rylee Martin, Austin and Landen Horne.

He was predeceased by a son, Louie Edward “Buddy” Hart, son-in-law Dennis “Dick” W. Lollis, three brothers; RL Calvin, David and Marcus Julian Hart; two sisters, Rosa Lee Hart and Catherine H. Pearson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Tab Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories with full Masonic Rites. The Grandchildren, Jonathan and Jeremy Hart, Terry and Josh Martin, JR Blevins, Brandon and Justin Lollis, and Jamie Horne will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 2 P.M. Friday.
