WARE SHOALS - Marian Edwards Martin, 77, widow of Leon Martin, of 27 S. Greenwood Ave., died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at her home. She was born in Ware Shoals, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Laura Gregory Edwards. She was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church.

 

Honea Path – David Earl Madden, 76, of 187 Boyce Page Road, husband of Dorothy Medlock Madden, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.

Anderson – Nellie Ree Campbell Lollis, 75, of 111 Raybon Lane, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at AnMed Health Center.

 

Ware Shoals – Tony Ray Kennedy, 56, husband of Tabitha Reardon Kennedy, of 123 Hill Estates Rd, died Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center.

 

Honea Path – David “Dixie” Mitchell Howell, 85, husband of Loretta Bivens Howell, of 200 Goodrich St., died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House.

 

Honea Path – Kenneth Alton Calvert, 53, of 505 Chiquola Ave., died Friday November 2, 2012. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Alton and Nancy Howington Calvert. He is survived by a brother, Tommy Gordon Calvert of Honea Path.

 

Hodges- Broadus “Peanut” Davis, 79, widower of Betty Ruth Gambrell Davis, of 4624 Moorefield St, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Magnolia Manor in Greenwood.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Walter L. and Sallie Blackwell Davis. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Orr-Lyons Mill in Anderson.

Surviving are a son, Keith Davis and wife Jo of Anderson, a daughter, Donna Garner and husband Dale of Anderson, a sister, Betty Jo Smith and husband Stanley of Hodges, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.Graveside services will be held Friday, November 2, 2012, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson at 10AM with Rev. Andy Lee officiating.

Honea Path – Wilma Alice Hudson Cooley, 87, widow of the late James W. Cooley, Sr., resident of The Maples, died Thursday October 25, 2012 at AnMed Health Center.
