Evelyn Smith
Belton – Evelyn S. Smith, 89 of 205 Palmetto Parkway, widow of Charles Vernon Smith, died Saturday at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Marie Ragsdale Smith. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Rice Mills. She had been a member of Belton First Baptist Church for over 50 years and attended the Martha Adams Kay Sunday School Class.
Surviving is one daughter; Charlene Snipes and husband Don of Honea Path, three grandchildren; Marty Brown, Greg Snipes and Angie Lloyd and husband Shane, and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Chelsea Lloyd. She was predeceased by two daughters, Gail Smith Brown and infant daughter; Angela Pearl Smith, brother; Marvin Smith and sister; Juanita Beeks.
Graveside services will be 10:30 AM Monday at Garden Of Memories with Rev. Dale Lynch officiating. The family is at the home and will receive friends at the graveside following the service on Monday. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
