Charles Driver

Anderson – Mr. Charles Payton Driver, 83, of 528 Elrod Road, husband of Doris George Driver, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home.

Born in Hartwell, Ga., he was a son of the late John C. and Leila Sanders Driver. He was a member of Mission Baptist Church and was retired from Haynesworth Plant of Anderson.

Surviving along with his wife of the home are: three sons, Rick Driver of Townville, Tony Driver of Landrum and Sam Driver of Sandy Springs, Ga.; one daughter, Misty LeAnn Hinton of Honea Path; three stepsons, Robert and David Beasley of Honea Path and James Beasley of Abbeville; three stepdaughters, Teresa Bowyer and Frankie Campbell of Honea Path and Terri Timmerman of Antreville; one brother, Marsh Driver; one sister, Mary Thompson of Hartwell, Ga.; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Noamie Louise Shiflet, Lettie Mae Saylors and Frances Eloise Skelton; and three brothers, John Haskell Driver, Edward Driver and Dave Sanders.
