Jennie “JenJen” Fisher

Honea Path –Jennie Ashley Fisher (JenJen), 95 of Honea Path, widow of H. R. (Herbert) Fisher, departed this earthly life February 24, 2010.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of J.W.C. and Lessie Fields Ashley. She was retired from Chiquola Manufacturing Company and a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and Training Union. She was a member of the W.M.U., Young at Heart and a visiting member of the Homebound Department and was a faithful and serving member of a church she loved.

She was the last member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers along with a grandchild and great-grandchild.

Surviving is a son, H. R. (Ronald) Fisher and wife Maggie of West Virginia; a daughter, Glenda “Sister” Fisher Davis and husband James P. “Sonny” Davis of Honea Path. She has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Moody and Rev. Robert Beaver officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Saturday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Honea Path First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 South Main Street, Honea Path, SC 29654, or to a charity of one’s choice.
