RUBY SWEAT

Ruby Ellen McAllister Sweat, 79 of Burl Hill Rd, widow of William A. Sweat, Jr. died Monday, January 18, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital . She was born in Ware Shoals a daughter of the late Monroe and Lula Timms McAllister and was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corp.

Surviving are: a son, Steven Dale Sweat, Ware Shoals, three daughters, Deborah Sweat Lyda, Hickory Tavern, Cathy Sweat Pace, Ware Shoals and Eugenia McAllister Rice, Hamilton, New Jersey, twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by four brothers; Albert “Mac” McAllister, Leonard “Sarge” McAllister, Ralph McAllister and Jimmy McAllister and three sisters; Laura M. Seawright, Lois M.. Sharpe and Jeannette McAllister.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 2 pm at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Haug, Kevin Pace, Andrew Sweat, Steven Sweat, Jonathan Rice IV and James A. Lyda, Sr.

Honorary escort will be Rhonda Dale McAllister, Linda Sweat and Patricia Nelson.
