Lillian Koon

Ware Shoals – Mrs. Emma Lillian Shealy Koon, 95, widow of George Ryan Koon, formerly of 26 North Greenwood Ave. Ext., died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Wesley Commons in Greenwood.

Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Carrie Lindler Shealy. She was a member of Ware Shoals United Methodist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation.

Surviving are a son, Jimmy and wife Marie; a daughter Emma Camak and husband Pitts, both of Ware Shoals; one sister, Cleo Shealy of Little Mountain; a daughter-in-law, Norma Koon of Anderson; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, George Heyward Koon; a brother, Ernest Shealy and two sisters Rosabelle Amick and Floy Slice.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at Parker-White Funeral Home with the Rev. Carol Peppers Wray and Rev. Tina Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 P.M at Parker-White Funeral Home. The family is at the home of her son Jimmy Koon, 26 North Greenwood Ave., Ext.
