Edith Ashley

Honea Path – Edith Edna Ashley, 89, widow of James Pearman Ashley, formerly of Hawthorn Rd., died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Seneca Health Center.

Born in Abbeville County she was a daughter of the late Jim Bob and Texie Ashley. She was a homemaker and a member of Keowee Baptist Church.

Surviving are a grandson, Dusty Ashley and a granddaughter, Tammy Fay Gilliam, both of Honea Path, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Jimmy Dean Ashley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Mize officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
