Margaret Phillips

Honea Path – Margaret Ora Davis Phillips, 91, of 6058 Keowee Road, widow of Furman L. Phillips, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Abbeville County Hospital.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Fate and Nellie Mae Davis. She was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church and was retired from the Metric Shirt Plant of Belton.

Surviving are: a son, Rickey Phillips of Honea Path; a daughter, Dorothy Teague of Lincolnton, NC; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Rev. Jack Davis and a sister, Evelyn Ashley.

Graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the Garden of Memories, with Rev. Carrol Plemmons officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path, prior to the service.
