Daniel C. Morgan

Newport News, Va. – Daniel Carey Morgan, 55, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2008.

A resident of Newport News, Va., Danny graduated from Christopher Newport College in 1977. With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, he went on to work with the YMCA. Danny spent 17 years serving the Hampton Roads Community and was an instrumental part of starting many programs that are still in use today. Most recently, Danny’s love for computers lead to a career with Fulcrum IT Services in Norfolk. Danny will be remembered for his honesty, reliability, integrity, and genuine care for people. Danny’s sincerity and kindness left a lasting impression on anyone blessed to be touched by his generous personality.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Carl Morgan, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Burts Morgan; brother, Stan Morgan; sister, Peggy Mcfatter and her husband Scott; nephew, Brain Merritt; and nieces, Melissa and Chris Mcfatter. He will be forever loved and missed.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 in Newport News, Va. Graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Eastview Cemetery, Honea Path.
