Elsie Mae Brock

Greenwood – Elise Mae Young Brock,77, widow of William “Billy” Brock, of 117 Pinsonville Rd. died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.

Born in Anderson she was a daughter of the late James Frank and Mattie Gambrell Young. She attended Siloam Baptist Church and was retired from Montsanto.

Surviving are two sons, J.D. Brock and Kenneth Ray Brock both of Greenwood, a daughter, Mrs. James (Jo Ann) Ramsey of Donalds, a brother, George Young of Honea Path, four sisters, Helen McGill, Ruby Vermillion, and Sara Faye Alewine, all of Level Land, and Mary Brock of Donalds, four grandchildren, Kim Beasley, Mrs. Kenny (Darlene) Alexander, Tommy Ramsey, and Danny Ramsey, one great-grandchild, Brayden Blair.

She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Ernest Young, Albert Young, and Clyde Young, and two sisters, Louise Honicutt Haynes and Nancy Fields.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path, with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
