Helen Robinson

Belton - Mattie Helen Simpson Robinson, 84, widow of Hoyt Butler Robinson, of 1720 Jones Chapel Rd., died Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Major and Abbie Simmons Simpson. She was a homemaker and a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Robinson Brown of Belton; a granddaughter, Pam Burdette of Anderson and three great-grandchildren; Jared, Grant, and Layne Burdette. She was pre-deceased by a son, Larry Robinson; a brother, James Simpson and a sister, Louise Ferguson.

Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Thursday at Barkers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wesley Taylor and Mr. Steve Ferguson officiating. The family is at the home of her daughter, 2411 Trail Rd., Belton.
