Lois Ashley

Honea Path – Mrs. Lois Branyon Ashley, 96, widow of Calvin Wayne Ashley, died Friday, October 23, 2009.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Fannie Ashley Branyon. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, a former WMU member and was retired from the Honea Path Shirt Plant.

Surviving are: four sons, Maxie D. Ashley, of Abbeville, Joe Dean Ashley, Greer Ashley and Larry Ashley all of Honea Path; three daughters, Allie Parks, Ernestine Boland, and Donna Ferguson all of Honea Path; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Waynelene Watson; two sisters, Evelyne Lindsey and Cathrine Cason; a brother, Guy Branyon and two grandchildren, Bill Parks, Jr., and Vickie Inglehart.

Funeral services to be held at 3 PM on Sunday at Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
