Charles Walker

Honea Path – Charles Walker, 81, of 5 Alabama St., widower of Dorothy Meyers Walker, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at AnMed Health Center.

Born in Anderson County he was a son of the late Chester M. and Agnes McClain Walker. He was a member of Keowee Baptist Church and was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co. after over 45 years of service.

Surviving are a son, Bobby Walker and wife Martha Ann of Donalds, a daughter, Patricia Whitworth and husband Jimmy of Honea Path, three sisters, Jane, Anette, and Beth Walker all of Honea Path, three grandchildren, Suzanne Whitworth of Greenwood, Mat Walker of Charleston, and Jason Chadwick of Due West, and two great-grandchildren, Branson and Audriana Chadwick.

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Tuesday at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Mize and Rev. Bill Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 3 PM Tuesday. The family is at the home of his son, Bobby Walker, 978 Winona Church Rd., Donalds. Online Condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
