Doris (Dot) Ridgeway

Ware Shoals – Molly Doris “Dot” Ridgeway, 88, formerly of Ware Shoals, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at National Healthcare in Greenwood. Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Robert V. and Marie Davis Ridgeway. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, and was retired from Riegel Textile Company.

Surviving are: one daughter, Diane Ridgeway Young of Donalds, one sister, Marie Smith, of Ware Shoals, three grandchildren, Edy Richey and husband Jon, Nick Young and wife Kellie, Meredith Ashley and husband Chris, eight great-grandchildren, Victoria, Elizabeth, Austin, and Blake Richey, Alyssa and Zack Young, and Preston and Kaitlyn Ashley.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Harold, Furman, C. Larry, and Ed Ridgeway, two sisters, Carrie Belle Johnston, and Joyce Ann Ridge.

A memorial service will be conducted at Parker-White Funeral Home Tuesday at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Leon Jones officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes, and will receive friends immediately following the service at Parker-White Funeral Home. The family requests that flowers be omitted, and that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
