RALPH ARMSTRONG

Raymond Ralph Armstrong, Jr., 73 husband of Kathryn Amick Armstrong died April 23, 2009 at his home. He was born in Laurens County, a son of the late Raymond Ralph and Alice Hovis Armstrong. He was a retired pipe fitter and was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Laurens. Mr. Armstrong served in the US Navy.

Surviving besides his wife of the home are: one son, Chris Armstrong and wife, Dianne, Hickory Tavern, two daughters, Melony Young and husband, Len, Greenwood, Tammy Ziegenfuss and husband, Wayne, Ware Shoals, one brother, Charles Armstrong and wife Rita, Tallahassee, Fla., two sisters, Janette Greenwood and husband, Ed, Merrill, Michigan, and Kathy Johnson, and husband Carl, Laurens and five grandchildren, Austin and Gabrielle Ziegenfuss, Laura Pitts and Seth and Isabella Young.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Wofford Armstrong.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, 2 pm at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Stratton officiating.
