Ware Shoals – Vivian Lucille Wooten Dean, 87, widow of Todd Haynie Dean, of 53 E. Honea Path St., died Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.
Born in Greenville County she was a daughter of the late Amos Bead and Ethel Matthews Wooten. She was an active member of the West Main St. Church Of God. She was retired from Riegel Textile Co.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Sonny) Dean of Ware Shoals, three brothers, Walter B. Wooten and wife Christine of Olympia, Washington, Jack A. Wooten of Honea Path, and Samuel B. Wooten and wife Ann of Honea Path, two sisters, Stella I. Owens and husband Jerry of Belton, and Elise M. Alewine and husband Willle B. of Honea Path, three grandchildren, Amy Odell and husband Ronald, Laura Horne, April Hampton and husband Stewart, and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Jackson Odell and Sydny Horn. She was pre-deceased by a son David Dean.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Friday at the West Main St. Church of God with Rev. Dr. Charles Smith and Rev. Aaron Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
