JOHN CALVIN WATSON

Ware Shoals, S.C. John Calvin Watson, 91, husband of Willie Dendylee Massey Watson of 423 Free Bridge Road died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Metter, Georgia, a son of the late John Austin and Bertha Scarboro Watson. He was a retired supervisor of Williams Paving Co. Mr. Watson served in the US Army during World War II.

Surviving besides his wife of the home are: one son, John Hubert Watson, Greenwood, two daughters, Sherry Lee Long, Simpsonville, Nancy Carol Underwood, Chapin, two sisters, Arlene Courtemanche, St. Simon’s Island, Ga., Lorene Quinette, Marietta, Ga. , five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 3 pm at Oak Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating.
