Christine Oates

Belton – Christine Crane Oates, 84, widow of Clarence “Bill” Lamar Oates, formerly of 204 Clinkscales St., died Sunday at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pickens County she was a daughter of the late Fred and Liela Billingsley Crane. She was a member of the Belton Church of God and was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co.

Surviving are her son, Jack Oates of Piedmont, a sister, Jeanette Landrith of Berea, two granddaughters, Christy Oates Green of Belton and Jacquelyn Oates of Belton, and two great-granddaughters, Brianna Green and Taylor Oates.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Smith and Rev. Paul Herring officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
