Roy Nelson

Honea Path – Roy Earl Nelson, 66 of 27 Pruitt Street, husband of Janice Owens Nelson, died Friday at his home.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late John Edward and Minnie Moody Hayes. He was retired from Laurens Glass Company, was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a US Navy Veteran.

Surviving are his wife of the home, one daughter; Vickie L. Freeman of Honea Path, two grandchildren; Roy and Chasity Freeman of Honea Path and one greatgrandson; John Bryson Freeman of Honea Path.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Cootie officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden Of Memories. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
