Thomas A. Ballard

Due West – Mr. Thomas Alvin Ballard, 96, formerly of 5845 Hwy 20, widower of the late Hazel Brock Ballard, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at AnMed Health Center.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Broadus and Beulah Gambrell Ballard. He was a member of the Honea Path Church of God of Prophecy and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation.

Surviving are a son Larry Ballard and wife Becky of Due West; a daughter Judy Todd and husband George of Donalds; a sister Frances Cooper of Clinton; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
