KATHLEEN RICKS


Ware Shoals, S.C. Kathleen Douglas Ricks, 56, wife of Charles Ricks of 41 Circle St. died January 18, 2009 at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C. She was born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late William O. and Maggie Lou Tucker Douglas. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are: besides the husband of the home are three sons: Billy Wayne Ricks, Laurens, Johnny Luther Ricks, Laurens and Brian Anthony Harper, Anderson: two daughters, Vickie Clark and Sherry Bowling both of Laurens: one brother, John Earl Douglas , Ware Shoals: one sister, Loucindy Davenport, Ware Shoals and ten grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by a sister, Gloria Ricks

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 2 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Laurens City Cemetery

Active pallbearers will be Jack Davenport, Billy Boling, Jim Hovis, Robby Green, Wayne Koon and Wayne Jenkins,
Honorary escort will be Dean Davenport, Steven Walters, Kevin Hurley, Charles Wayne Clarke, Jr., Josh Putnam and Michael Morgan.

The family is at 41 Circle St. and will receive friends Wednesday , 6-8 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home.
