Richard Crawford

Honea Path – Richard Crawford, 86, widower of Betty Redd Crawford, of 208 Brock Ave., died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.

Born in Laurens County he was a son of the late Jefferson and Alma Adams Crawford. He was a member of Chiquola United Methodist Church. He was retired from Riegel Textile Co. and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, World War II.

He is survived by a son, Richard J. Crawford of Decatur, Ga. He was pre-deceased by a son, Freddie Crawford, a brother Edward Crawford, and three sisters, Zelle Thomas, Helen Strawderman, and Mildred Tranyham.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jones Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
