Melissa Deese

Honea Path – Melissa Renee Gambrell Deese, 34, formerly of Honea Path, died Thursday, January 01, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.

Born in Greenwood, S.C. she was a daughter of Ron Gambrell and Frankie Cowart Johnson. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church. Melissa made friends easily and maintained her cheerful outlook and sense of humor no matter her situation.

Surviving are her father, Ron Gambrell and wife Alyson of Honea Path, her mother Frankie Johnson and husband Jerry of Honea Path, a brother, Brian Gambrell of Honea Path, a sister, Rhonda Richardson of Starr, paternal grandmother, Doris Gambrell of Honea Path, and maternal grandmother, Marian Tucker of Honea Path.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
