Grace Abercrombie

Ware Shoals – Grace Latham Abercrombie, 80 widow of Joel O. Abercrombie, formerly of 14 Walnut Street, died Wednesday at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Anderson county, she was a daughter of the late Broadus and Frances Wiles Latham. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation.

Surviving is one daughter; Carol Bryant and husband Keith of Ware Shoals, two sisters; Mrs. Mary Frances Smith of Lugoff, SC and Mrs. Glenda Cooley of Belton, two granddaughters; Amy Lane and husband Neal of Summerton, SC and Kandice Bryant of Honea Path.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Hans Wunch, Rev. Robert Emory and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646 or to the Faith Home, 144 Faith Home Road, Greenwood, SC 29649. The family is at the home of her daughter, 19 Dairy St. Ware Shoals.
