Jean Andrews

Donalds – Mary Jean Mitchell Andrews, 78, wife of Francis Lee Andrews, of 553 Haddon Rd., died Monday, November 17, 2008 at her home.

Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Furman and Mary Shirley Mitchell. She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church where she was active in the Winsom Workers Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and was also active in the Boonesborough Historical Society.

Surviving are her husband of the home; one son, William (Bill) Andrews and wife Debbie of Donalds; two daughters, Martha Jean Phillips and husband Edward of Donalds, and Bonnie Mitchell Andrews of Salisbury, N.C.; one sister, Lenora Hanks of Honea Path, and seven grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Marvin Mitchell, Shirley Mitchell, and Sloan Mitchell; and a sister, Ann Mitchell Bolt.

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Wednesday at Donalds Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Sturkey and Rev. Ruel Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Barkers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. The body will be placed in the church at 3 P.M. Wednesday. The family is at the home.
