E.V. Strawhorn

Due West – Edward Van (E.V.) Strawhorn, 90 of 4334 Hwy. 184 W., died Saturday at the home of a granddaughter in Macon, Ga.

Born in Abbeville county, he was a son of the late James Warren and Maggie Hinton Strawhorn. He was a member of Due West Baptist Church and was a retired self employed General Contractor.

He was predeceased by a son; Edward Lee Strawhorn, two daughters; Betty D. Winn and Evelyn Eidson and a greatgrandson; Jacob Ford. Surviving are eight grandchildren, Ann W. Ford and husband Cliff of Macon, Ga., Kathy M. Schwed and husband Ricky of Macon, Peggy Love of Columbia, Patricia E. Corder of Macon, Kenneth D. Winn of Macon, W. Kevin Winn of Hilton Head, SC, Derek Van Strawhorn of Byron, Ga. and Kendra S. Lane and husband Kyle of Mobile, Alabama, nine greatgrandchildren and six great-greatgrandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday at Due West Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Bob Philyaw officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately after the service.The family will be at the home in Due West. Memorials may be made to Due West Baptist Church, 218 S.
