Walker Ledford

Waterloo, S.C. Walker Ledford, 80 of 132 Coursey Drive, widower of Evelyn Snyder Ledford died October 9, 2008 at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born in Haywood County, N.C., a son of the late Gertrude Ledford. He had been employed by Riegel Textile Corp. and retired from Mt. Vernon, Williamston.

Mr. Ledford had been a volunteer fireman for thirty years. He was a member of Waterloo United Methodist Church, Cross Hill Masonic Lodge and he was a Shriner.

Surviving are: one son, Leland Walker Ledford, Waterloo, one daughter, Jeannie Ledford, Waterloo, six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and twelve great-great
Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, 4 pm at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop and Rev. Blain Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons, Grandsons-in-law and great grandson will serve as active pallbearers.

The family will be at 127 Pete St. and will receive friends at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church Sunday, 3-4 pm. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital. Greenville, S.C,
