Mrs. Mary Evelyn Ashley

Honea Path – Mrs. Mary Evelyn Davis Ashley, 88, formerly of 5988 Keowee Road, widow of John William “Bill” Ashley, died Thursday at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Fate Layfette and Nellie Mae Davis. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and was retired from Metric Shirt Plant.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Furman (Margaret) Phillips of Honea Path, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene Davis of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Jack L. Davis.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the Garden of Memories with Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating.
