SANDRA HOVIS


Hodges, S.C. Sandra Ivey Hovis, 61, widow of James E. “Red” Hovis died August 22, 2008 at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late John E. and Leoma “Tootsie” Mahaffey Ivey.

She was a member of Hodges Church of God, and was a member of the President’s Club of Avon, Inc. and in years past, she and her husband owned and operated the Red Top Restaurant.

Survivors are: one son, Robert W. Baldwin and wife Vickie, Hodges, two sisters: Earlene I. Freeman and husband, Jim, Greenwood and Rebecca I. Love and husband, Andrew, Greenwood and three grandchildren. Amanda B. Baldwin, Callie A. Baldwin, and Sara J. Baldwin.

Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, 3 pm at Hodges Church of God with Rev. Charles Caldwell and Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at 146 Pumpkin Road in Hodges and will receive friends Saturday, 6-8 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Online condolences may be made to www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
