Gene Gambrell

Honea Path – Mr. Jesse Gene Gambrell, 72, husband of Margaret Eugenia Ashley Gambrell, of 5909 Keowee Road, died at Anmed Health Center Thursday, August 7, 2008.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Eulice Cheshire and Vera Inez Ashley Gambrell. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, The Honea Path Center Lodge #37 A.F.M. and was retired from Huggins Garment.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: one son, Ronnie Gambrell and wife June Lindsay; one brother, Tommy Gambrell of Hodges; six sisters, Betty Dickson of Calhoun Falls, Nancy Prince of Donalds, Ann Fleming of Donalds, Jeanette Jennings of Belton, Polly and Molly Knight both of Donalds and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Kyle Antone officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1800 Hwy, 178 North, Honea Path, SC 29654.
