MARGARET SHAVER

Ware Shoals Margaret Elizabeth Smith Shaver, 26 Saluda Ave., widow of James C. “Dink” Shaver died June 18, 2008 at the home of her son in Winterville, Ga. She was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late R.S. and Ethel Hall Smith. She had been employed by Riegel Textile Corp. and retired from Torrington in Honea Path. Mrs. Shaver was a member of First Baptist Church where she worked with Emerald Center Clients.

Surviving are; one son, James Calvin Shaver, Jr., Winterville, Ga., one brother, Lecille Smith, Fountain Inn, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 3 pm at First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The body will be placed in the church at 1 pm Saturday and the family will receive friends there 2-3 pm. Parker-White Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
