Louise “Granny” Ross

Gray Court – Martha Louise Howard Ross, 85, widow of Zelf Ross, of 13237 Highway 76 West, died Wednesday, June 04, 2008 at Laurens District Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Frances Engles and Annie Howard. She was of the Holiness Faith and was retired from Riegel Textile Co.

Surviving are four daughters, Dollie Alewine of Ft. Inn, Nancy Mobley of Gray Court, Peggy Knight of Lyman, and Sue McAllister of Greenwood, one brother, William “Bill” Howard of Ware Shoals, three sisters, Catherine Chadwick of Laurens, Sarah Chapman of Ware Shoals, and Mildred Newton of Laurens, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
