James Carl Adams, 85, of 162 Adams Drive, widower of Mildred Mitchell Adams, died April 13, 2008 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Princeton, SC, a son of the late Jesse Carl and Mae Smith Adams. He was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church.

He was the last member of his immediate family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Frank McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ben Snyder, David Dyal, Kennin Abrams, Jeff Snyder, Jason Snyder, Jim Ollis and Jack Sullivan.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Bethel Cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. Jack Sullivan, 1081 Dairy Rd., Ware Shoals, S.C. or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, S.C. 29646.
