Rachel Shaw Drake
Donalds – Mrs. Rachel Shaw Drake, 102, widow of the late Harvey Pearson Drake, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Abbeville Nursing Home.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late William Glen and Allie Sippie Taylor Shaw. She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and The Friendship Club and was retired from The Honea Path Shirt Plant.
Surviving are four grandsons; Andy, Billy, David and Danny Bannister; two granddaughters; Joyce Drake Hansel and Sherry Drake; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Drake; thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by one son, William Harvey Drake and one daughter, Mrs. Billy (Betty) Bannister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Donalds Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Sturkie officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9PM at Pruitt Funeral Home.
