John Henry Savage, 79, husband of Betty Shockley Savage of 3 West Cork St.. died at WARE SHOALS, S.C.
Hospice House of the Piedmont in Greenwood, Sunday, February 17, 2008. He was born in Lula, Ga. a son of the late Homer and Frankie Lou Alglin Savage. He was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Riegel Textile Corp.

Surviving besides his wife of the home are: one son, Bobby Savage, Ware Shoals; two daughters, Dianne Barrett and Debbie Haynes both of Ware Shoals: two brothers, Paul Savage, Hendersonville, N.C. and B.D. Savage, Gainesville, Ga.: three sisters, Eula Mae Savage, Alto, Ga., Bernice Shockley, Lula, Ga. And Cozetta Myers, Gainesville, Ga..
Also, seven grandchildren and nine great-granadchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of a granddaughter Michelle Estes at101 McKay Road in Honea Path, SC and will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 pm Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home .
