Bob McAlister

Donalds – John Robert “Bob” McAlister, 65, of 107 Milt Martin Rd., died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Hospice House in Greenwood.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Belle Ables McAlister. He was a member of Keowee Baptist Church and was retired from Mitchell Mfg. Company.

Surviving are two brothers, Roger Dale McAlister and Jamie Lee McAlister, both of Donalds, a sister, Wilma Crawford of Donalds, three nieces, Gwen Fleming, Rhonda McAlister, and Missy Knight, two great-nephews, Brandon and Adam, and two great-nieces, Stephanie and Ashley. He was predeceased by a brother, James David McAlister.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 19, 2007 at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Mize and Rev. Stanley Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 P.M. Saturday. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at WWW.PARKERWHITEPRUITT.COM
