Donalds – Margaret Victoria Suttles Spencer, 83, widow of Earl Spencer of Donalds died Saturday, August 22 at her home.
Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late William MAthison and Flossie Maybell Holbrooks Suttles. She was a member of Retreat Baptist Church in Westminister, and was retired from her work as a seamstress for JP Stevens. She loved cooking, fishing, and gardening.
Mrs. Spencer is survived by her son Anthony “Country” Spencer of Honea Path; her daughter Beverly S. Adams (Eddie) of Piedmont; her brother Odis Suttles of Six Mile; and her two sisters: Bonnie Freeman (Homer) of Westminister and Dovie Little of Seneca.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Julian, Earle, Truman, Alvin, and J.D. Suttles; and seven sisters: Ruth Suttles, Guynelle Poole, Molly King, Polly Suttles, Sara Butts, Ollie Long and Faye Hare.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday August 29 at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Cooley officiating. Burial will be private, at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans' Cemetery.
