Born July 9, 1932, in Williamston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Tollison and Charlotte Russell Tollison. After working at Riegel Textile, Betty became a hair stylist and was a member of the S.C. Cosmetology Association. She owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Nook for over 40 years before retiring.
Betty was a long-time member of Reedy Grove PH Church where she faithfully served. The area that brought her the most joy was serving as the church organist.
She was predeceased by her parents, her son, William Thomas Madden, grandsons, James Rodney Madden and Travis Madden. She was predeceased by siblings: Doris Fowler, Grace Bunch, Gloria (Sister) Fowler, James (Buddy) Tollison, Jessie (Junior) Tollison and Bobby Tollison.
Survivors include sons Jimmy Ray Madden (Patsy), Dalton Madden (Jessica), two grandchildren, Lesley M. Saxon (Brian), and Michelle Fricks, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Joan Tollison.
The family will be at their respective homes. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev.
