Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Thelma Davis Beasley. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she enjoyed cooking and serving breakfast on Sunday morning, even taking the breakfast to the shut ins of the church. She retired from Becton-Dickerson. After retirement, she cared for many children in the Honea Path area with MeMaMa’s Daycare out of her home. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are: her daughter, Ann Washington of Honea Path; two grandchildren, Dwane Mitchell and Morrise (Darren) Fisher; and four great-grandchildren, Ragan Mitchell, Troy Hanks, Gavan Mitchell and Jace Fisher.
Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her brothers, Lee Beasley and Dennis Beasley.
The family will be at the home at 109 Drexler Street, Honea Path and will receive friends there anytime on Wednesday July 22, 2026.
