She was the daughter of the late Casper Rei Smith and Nora Ellison Smith from the Cheddar Community of Williamston. She attended the Williamston area schools and North Greenville College. She was a Christian and a faithful, active member of the First Baptist Church of Belton for more than 70 years. She was a teacher in the Children’s Sunday School Dept., a choir member and participated in Women’s Circle Group. She especially enjoyed being a member of the Pairs and Spare Sunday School Class. She worked at SC National Bank/Wachovia over 40 years and after retiring, helped deliver Meals on Wheels. She loved traveling, shopping, and eating out with family and friends.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, predeceased by her husband, parents, and her four siblings, Dr. Ellison Leon Smith, Gladys S. Hall, Helen S. Johns and Rev. C.R. Smith. She is survived by 1 sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 22, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Belton with Rev. Dr. Nicholas Kirby officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will be at the respective homes of her niece and nephew, Karen Eidson and William Hall, both of Honea Path, SC.
