Mark Henderson

Ware Shoals - Willie Marshall “Mark” Henderson, 78 of Hwy 252, preceded in death by his loving wife, Edna Jeanette Heaton Henderson, died Sunday, April 12, 2026 at his home.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Joseph Otto Henderson and Willie Ann Qualls Henderson. He was a member of West Main Street Church of God in Ware Shoals. He retired from Timken Plant in Clinton as an electrician. Mark touched so many people during his life while ministering in song with Jeanette at Nursing Homes, singing and playing his guitar with the choir at West Main Street Church of God, funerals, and many other places. 

Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Johnson of Greenwood, a grandson, Jason Teasley of Greenwood, a great grandson, Wyatt Teasley, a great granddaughter, Brook Lynn Teasley, a brother, Gerald Henderson(Denise) of Iva, a brother, Dennis Ray(Dink)Henderson(Robbie) of Donalds, sister-in-law, Linda Henderson, brother-in-law, Joe Griffin, and numerous nieces and nephews that loved him very much.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Otto Henderson and Willie Ann Qualls Henderson, and two brothers, Truman Henderson (Martha) and James Earl Henderson, and three sisters, Frances Knight (Bill), Ruth Weathers (Earl), Audrey Griffin. 

We would like to extend a special thanks to Caris Healthcare for their assistance in caring for Mark at home. We could not have done it without them. Also, we were blessed with private caretakers that helped us so much and grew to love Mark as we do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Jimma Hallman, Zach Hubbard, Alisha Couch and Kassie Weaver! And last but not least, thank you to his niece, Donna Knight Price for always being there with your emotional support for us and lending a hand in whatever we needed.

Funeral services will be held at West Main Street Church of God in Ware Shoals on Wednesday, April 15th at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Brian Dye and Rev. Andy Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at West Main Street Church of God, prior to the service.
