Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Roy Calhoun and Muriel Bratcher Caldwell. He was a member and former deacon of Donalds Baptist Church, and was retired from his work as an insurance agent for Liberty Life for many years.
In addition to Jackie, his wife of 57 years, Mr. Caldwell is survived by his son Dennis Caldwell of Honea Path; his daughter Karen Caldwell Greenway and husband Chad of Griffin, GA; and two grandchildren: Isaac Barnett and fiancée Corinne and Nathanael Barnett of Atlanta.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Donalds Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Sturkie officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
